Khalfa explores the symbolism of the window through personal experience. Moving to her family’s village after growing up abroad, the artist found in the window a comfort zone amid psychological and social change: a place where light and darkness, hope and despair, confinement and freedom meet.
A photographic project assembled around an inherited bag, family photographs, and the intimate archive held by everyday objects.
